Support for Carers

Whether you're a carer, a family member or a close friend of someone who has suffered a brain injury there will be times when you need help. We believe it's as important to recognise the impact of a brain injury on those around a brain injury survivor as the survivors themselves.

CARER SUPPORT

Carers, family and friends play a vital and important role in the process of rehabilitation following a brain injury but it can be a very challenging responsibility. We're here to give support and advice to any carers, family and friends of people with a brain injury.

Headway North London offers support to help you:

  1. Cope with your caring responsibilities
  2. Meet other carers in similar situations
  3. Alleviate some of the isolation you may feel
  4. Share information and experiences with other carers

Help is available for any carer, family or friend of a person with a brain injury. If you would like support our trained counseller Maivor de'Young is available to help. To make an appointment please call our helpline on 020 7372 4477 or email Maivor at maivor_ahead@hotmail.com.
