Supporting those affected by brain injury
Support for Carers
Whether you're a carer, a family member or a close friend of someone who has suffered a brain injury there will be times when you need help. We believe it's as important to recognise the impact of a brain injury on those around a brain injury survivor as the survivors themselves.
CARER SUPPORT GROUP
Carers, family and friends play a vital and important role in the process of rehabilitation following a brain injury but it can be a very challenging responsibility. We're here to give support and advice to any carers, family and friends of people with a brain injury.
The group offers support to help you:
- Cope with your caring responsibilities
- Meet other carers in similar situations
- Alleviate some of the isolation you may feel
- Share information and experiences with other carers
The group is open to any carer, family or friend of a personn with a brain injury. No need to make an appointment, but if you would like to visit please email Maivor de Young at maivor_ahead@hotmail.com at least 48 hours in advance of the session to confirm that you will be attending. Venue and directions can be found in the attached flyer
